Kathy Stevenson, Mary Stevenson, and Joseph Norman Dear Peru For Less

Our Peru For Less trip was incredible and we can't stop talking about it. It was so nice to have all of the little details taken care of. It would have taken months to plan this trip had we tried to do it ourselves. We will definitely plan another trip through Peru For Less.

Thanks,
Kathy Stevenson, Mary Stevenson, and Joseph Norman

Olympic Flame Burns on in Argentina

As the only Latin American stop for the Olympic flame, thousands of Argentines flooded the streets of Buenos Aires on April 11th, anxious to partake in the five-continent trek from Ancient Olympia to the flame’s final destination in Beijing, China.

While the Beijing location for the August games has created international controversy, Argentina hosted the most peaceful torch relay in almost a week. Heavy winds appeared to be the only threat to the propane-powered flame.

Olimpic Flame arrives on Argentina

On a spontaneous half-day holiday, spectators showered the parade route with confetti. Renowned Olympic windsurfing medalist, Carlos Espinola, received the torch from Mayor Mauricio Macri after its arrival with Chinese officials who initiated the ceremonial relay. In addition, the relay included a row down the River Plate canal as well as a jog past the pink presidential palace and the famous Obelisk. The relay’s finale took place in an equestrian club where tennis Hall of Famer, Gabriela Sabatini, ran down a carpeted walkway and ignited the flame in a giant metal bowl to the delight of a cheerful crowd.

"This is beautiful, a marvelous spectacle," said Marcelo Tejera, 26. Next, the flame heads to its only stop in Africa: Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.
