It’s been a busy month here in Peru. The effort to help the people affected by the earthquake in the south of the country has been overwhelming. Money, food, shelter and clothing have flooded in from all over the world and despite initial logistical problems, a system has been put in place to distribute it fairly and quickly between the affected areas. Things are gradually returning to some semblance of normality, although the rebuilding will go on for many months and years to come.
In this month’s newsletter we bring you news of an unusual guinea pig festival, a World surfing legend, one of the World’s most acclaimed economists and Lima’s new transportation network. Enjoy!
