Adventurous travelers will be pleased with the wide range of available sports activities such as biking, hiking, trekking, kayaking, and snorkeling.
Snorkel with penguins and sea-lions, follow giant tortoises and iguanas as they lumber through cactus forest, and bike across the spectacular sceneries of the various islands. Never again will you have the chance to experience such close encounters with these fearless creatures.
You will start the tour on Santa Cruz, the most central island, where you can admire stunning lava tubes - natural tunnels that can be walked through - and take in the beautiful views while biking around the island. Your next stop will be Floreana, the island with the richest human history, where you will meet some of its few inhabitants who can tell you about life on the islands.
Finally you will visit Isabela Island, the largest one in the archipelago, which was formed by the lava flows of six volcanoes, five of which are still active.

Day 1 : Arrival to Baltra & Transfer to Santa Cruz

- Upon arrival to the Baltra Airport, a 10 minute ferry ride will take you to Santa Cruz Island where you will settle into your comfortable lodge and enjoy lunch.
- In the afternoon you will enjoy a tour to Garrapatero Beach. This beautiful white sand beach spans 1.8 miles (3 kilometers) and is surrounded by beautiful mangrove trees. Enjoy the tranquility and tropical beauty that surrounds you while searching for wildlife like the Galapagos penguins, marine iguanas and for its most popular flamingos and finches
- After your tour you will return to your Santa Cruz lodge and enjoy at you leisure the first night of your Galapagos travel adventure.
Day 2 : Los Gemelos Tour & Arrival to Floreana Island

- After a delicious breakfast you will begin your adventure with a visit to Los Gemelos (the twins), two gigantic collapsed lava chambers. This breathtaking sight will remind you of the incredible power of nature responsible for the formation of these islands. Walk inside the impressive nearby natural lava tunnels with their 20 ft high ceilings and admire the stalagmites, stalactites, mineral-colored walls, and the rippled floor formed from ancient lava flows.
- After your short hike you will take a bus to a 600-acre private reserve where giant Galapagos tortoises freely roam, graze and sleep. Strolling amongst the island’s turtles is sure to be one of the highlights from your Galapagos vacation.
- After lunch back at your lodge you will set out on a two-hour boat ride to Floreana Island. Your first stop there will be the striking Black Beach where you can swim, snorkel, or simply rest on the beach and enjoy the sunset.
- Later on, you will return to your lodge where you'll be able to spend a relaxing evening.
Day 3 : Floreana Island Tour

- Enjoy breakfast at a local family’s house before you start your Floreana Island tour to admire the astonishing and luxuriant wildlife that calls this island home. After a 20 minute bus ride you will be at the entrance of Cerro Allieri, one of the hightest points on the island, here you will enjoy spectacular views of the landscapes of Floreana. Don’t forget your camera and be ready to take hundreds of pictures to capture the unique beauty of the island.
- In the afternoon you will enjoy an exciting walk to La Loberia, considered one of the most beautiful spots in Floreana. Upon arrival, relaxation reigns with a well deserved break to rest on the beach or snorkel some more before heading back for dinner and returning to the lodge for a good night’s sleep.
Day 4 : Floreana Island Tour & Arrival to Isabela Island

- Your naturalist guide will escort you on an open-air bus through sweeping views of the island and sea to the highlands. From here you can walk up to one of the few fresh water springs in the archipelago, Asilo de la Paz (Peace Asylum), and tour the Cueva de los Piratas (Pirates Cove), a former favorite resting place for the scallywags of the sea who carved shelter out of the soft stone. It is also where one of the original settlers, Margret Wittmer, gave birth to a son, Rolf.
- A hike up Cerro Pajas (Bird Hill), where multitudes of Floreana finches have sought a home, will offer spectacular views of the island and the sea below. Your guide will then take you to a tortoise reserve while entertaining you with legends and mysteries of the Galapagos.
- Watch rare species like blue-footed boobies fly the skies on your sail trip to stunning Isabela before checking into your hotel and embarking on a boat tour of the island. An intriguing walk through a lava field with the backdrop of volcano peaks and emerald waters will lead you to a canal full of white-tipped reef sharks resting in shallow water. Don’t worry, they don’t bite! You will have the rest of the afternoon free to snorkel or relax before dinner.
Day 5 : Isabela Island Hike

- In the morning, you will set out on a Sierra Negra Volcano tour, hiking up the slopes of the volcano to the stunning four-mile crater, the second largest in the world. For the hardiest of the group, you can choose to continue on an especially difficult one-hour walk to Volcano Chico, where fumarole activity is abundant, and views are once again spectacular. Be aware that this is not an easy hike, however, as it is mostly across sloping lava fields.
- After lunch at the organic farm, Campo Duro, you can stroll through the fruit trails of the farm or relax in one of their hammocks. Campo Duro is also a part of a special program with the Galapagos National Park allowing them to care for giant tortoises, which you will visit before heading back to the lodge.
- Spend the rest of the afternoon snorkeling, swimming or simply relax on the beach or in the lodge.
Day 6 : Snorkeling on Isabela Island

- After breakfast, you will head to Los Tuneles to snorkel with wildlife-giant mantas, sea turtles, tropical fish, and penguins!
- You will have the remainder of the day to relax and explore Isabela Island on your own.
Day 7 : Humedales Tour & Transfer to Santa Cruz Island

- After a hearty breakfast you will set out on your tour of the Humedales (wetlands) driving alongside, Villami beach, one of the most beautiful beaches in the Galapagos you will make your way to the National Park.
