Lima has the largest and most comprehensive museums in the country. On this tour you will visit two of the most interesting museums in the city: the Larco Herrera Archeology Museum and the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History.

Located in the cultural and historical district of Pueblo Libre, the Larco Museum boasts the world’s largest collection of gold and silver from Ancient Peru and its famous erotic archeological collection. The masterpieces have traveled the world’s leading museums and are considered icons of Pre-Columbian art.

The largest museum in Peru, the National Museum of Archaeology, Anthropology and History of Peru has on display carved stone pieces dating all the way back to the Formative Period of about 1,000 years B.C. Additionally, the museum includes the most extensive textile collection, from the pre-ceramic period through the Inca Empire, and a grand assortment of Ancient Peruvian metals.

This tour takes you 35 miles off the coast of Lima into deep waters and is primarily for bird enthusiasts. However there is also an excellent chance that you will see whales and dolphins, penguins and sealions.

Unlike the above tour, this half day at sea is primarily for the purpose of whale and dolphin spotting, although you will also see penguins and sealions. The 25 mile journey will take you 6 hours and it comes with a guarantee that if you do not see a whale you can do the trip again until you do, or receive a 30% refund.
