The Hotel Libertador Cusco is located in the historical center just in front of the Koricancha, also known as the Sun Temple. Hotel Libertador opened in 1976 in the colonial mansion named Casa de los Cuatro Bustos, originally built by Inca laborers for the conqueror and first governor of Peru, Francisco Pizzaro. It is built on the foundations of the Aclla Huasi, where the chosen virgins of the Inca lived. Some of its original walls still remain.

The rooms of the original colonial mansion center around the courtyard. A newer section of the hotel surrounds 2 courtyards and offers larger rooms rated superior. All rooms are decorated in colonial traditional style, many of them with small private terraces.
