Description

This cozy jungle lodge sits hidden in the Amazon jungle 85 miles from Iquitos. It has a rustic appearance with thatched roof bungalows in typical Amazonian style, yet guests will enjoy the comfort of private bathrooms, secure mosquito netting to separate the wild from the domestic, and top-notch food in the lodge’s dining area. The lodge guarantees its guests will see Amazon animals such as monkeys, caimen, and sloths. In fact, the Muyuna Lodge is one of the few places to spot the endangered Piurí curassow bird in the wild.

Room Amenities

The bungalow rooms at Muyuna Lodge offer guests privacy and comfort within the jungle. Each bungalow has a thatched roof, mesh-screening on at least one wall, terrace facing the river, and private bathroom with organic amenities and a rain-fed shower. Rooms can accommodate from 2 to 6 people and are lit with kerosene lamps, sit on stilts, and connected by a raised walkway.
