The uninhabited terrain of southeast Bolivia is full of lakes, mountain peaks, natural hot springs, and the world’s largest salt flats. Experience these natural treasures on a 4-wheel drive adventure, just as traveler Pedro Martino did in 2008.  During the trip he photographed his friend in company of a book with the beautiful landscapes of Bolivia behind him, a moment that’s featured in this week’s travel photo. Multi-day driving tours of this region may follow slightly different routes, but all end with a visit to the country’s famous Uyuni Salt Flats.
