In the late 1990’s this once abandoned port in Buenos Aires, Argentina made the transition from decay and degradation to a center of wealth and innovation.
For newcomers, Puerto Madero – the waterfront in Buenos Aires – is sparkly and shiny and new, but for long-time residents, memories of abandoned buildings and degraded land-tracks aren’t all that distant. An urban renewal project that has attracted the attention of both national and foreign investments, Puerto Madero is now a thriving cultural center complete with luxury high-rises, state of the art cinemas, private universities, theaters, and fancy restaurants boasting 5-star international cuisine.
Page has worked and traveled extensively through Argentina. Her paired love of the Spanish language and Latin American culture have put this region of the world high on her list. The vibrant and welcoming people, incredible landscapes that offer everything from seascapes to mountain highlands and exquisite cuisines are just a few of the things that keep her coming back.
