These wispy clouds and morning shades of blue are mysterious enough to coax the sleepiest of bedheads from a deep slumber. This week’s photo is brought to us by photographer Joseph King who ventured to an oxbow lake in the Tambopata National Reserve of the Peruvian Amazon. In company of an expert guide, Joseph and a small group of travelers got an early start to the lake in high hopes of spotting some animal residents.  Giant river otters, turtles, caimans, a variety of bird species, and piranhas are among the long list of wildlife that can be seen during this morning jungle excursion.
