Watch the sun rise and set from its home place: Isla del Sol on the Bolivian side of Lake Titicaca.
by Britt Fracolli

These beautiful hues of yellow and orange are brought to us from the Bolivian shores of Lake Titicaca by global traveler and self-declared sugar addict, Jade Spadina. Bolivia, like Peru, is steeped in Inca tradition and history. Isla del Sol is at more than 12,550-feet above sea level and, according to Inca belief, is the birthplace of the sun. While many people choose to visit this high altitude island from Peru by way of Puno, Bolivia offers a less traveled path to discovering the magic of this region.
