Wayne & Nancy G. from Texas explored the southern region of Peru for 15 glorious days. Making stops in Cusco, Machu Picchu, Colca Canyon, and Lake Titicaca, the couple experienced exciting destination highlights and enjoyed comfortable transportation services that were planned to perfection by their expert travel advisor Rylee M.  After their amazing trip, the couple took the time to thank Rylee and the entire Peru For Less team for their hard work.

A Southern Exploration of Peru

“Dear Rylee,

Thank you so much for the outstanding services you provided us during our 15 day visit to Peru. It was wonderful to have your guides meet us at each airport and having taxi service provided for each hotel. Our hotels were lovely and very comfortable; the staff was exceptionally gracious and accommodating.  The Eco Inn in Puno even included us in their staff party which featured live Peruvian music and dancing! Its restaurant overlooked a lovely garden with “residential” llamas.

Peru For Less continually amazed us with friendly, personable, and extremely knowledgeable guides. Our guide to Cusco even personally woke us early at La Casa de Mamayacchi so that we would arrive on time to see eleven condors flying out of Colca Canyon  that morning. Not everyone is fortunate enough to see the condors soaring, but our entire trip seemed “charmed” with one spectacular experience after another.

Our transportation services were very comfortable and included travel by air, van, rail, and bus. Although we are not fond of bus travel, Costa Cruz was very comfortable with spacious leather seats and an attendant who served us a light lunch – what a surprise! The train trips were absolutely delightful.

We stayed at nine different hotels, all providing delicious breakfasts and some included tasty Peruvian dinners. We especially enjoyed La Casa de Mamayacchi and the wonderful homemade breads, soups, and unique meals. Every visitor to Peru should try the Alpaca specials.

Our train from Puno to Cusco was cancelled due to the miners’ strike, and you immediately called us to confer our need to change transportation. How comforting to know you were monitoring the situation. You made our air reservations, had our taxi at the hotel right on time, and followed up with emails to make sure that we were updated on the changes to our itinerary. You made sure that we would not have to deal with any distress or strikers’ interruptions to impair our journey.

Although all of our tour guides were very impressive, we felt truly blessed to have Fabricio, the president of the guides association, as our personal Machu Picchu guide. He has been studying this mystical Incan ruin since his childhood and all four of us left feeling awed and somewhat “bonded” with this gorgeous, mysterious Wonder of the World. Fabricio’s fascination with this ruin transcended the other guides who led their little groups past several sacred and undocumented areas which enhanced our spiritual and historical connection.

Again, thank you, Rylee, for making our fantastic adventure to Peru such a beautifully planned experience of a lifetime.
