The diversity of Argentina’s landscapes render flat plains that stretch for as far as your eyes can see, towering Andean peaks that give way to icefields, and rumbling waterfalls. On a mission to explore this country, our expert travel advisor, Adrienne, helped the Patel family organize an adventure-packed getaway. Their travels took them from Iguazu Falls in the country’s northeastern region all the way down to Patagonia. In this traveler review, the Patel family raves about their experience and tells us about their most memorable moments.

“This was the second Latin America For Less vacation package we booked with Adrienne. She had done a fantastic job on our trip to Peru and we called her as soon as we decided to go to Argentina. Adrienne was extremely patient and helpful in creating a vacation package that mixed various activities for the whole family.

Overall, we had a fantastic time and the trip went very smoothly.   We had debated whether or not the go the Ushuaia and were glad we did.  Penguins are a must see for the kids! El Calafate and the Perito Moreno Glacier Trek was the highlight of the entire trip and is not to be missed.

Iguazu Falls was also amazing and is something that we would strongly encourage folks to include on their itinerary. We would suggest doing a private tour versus the group tour so you could take your time and get more history about Iguazu. We did not go to the Brazilian side but didn’t feel that we missed out as most of the Falls are located in Argentina.  The AWESOME boat ride to the base of the falls was another key enjoyment of the entire trip.

Our favorite hotel as far as food was the Mirador Del Lago in El Calafate.  The onsite restaurant was probably the best we ate at.  Overall, all the hotel choices were good.  Hotel Yamana and Design Suites were good from a space perspective. The American hotel in Iguazu was probably not quite what we would consider a 5 star facility in particular the rooms. The hotel itself was fine.

Adrienne was great in organizing this trip from internal flights, hotels and excursions. She was patient as we worked through what places we wanted to see and made sure that she was always available to answer our questions.  Together, we came up with a trip of a lifetime! No two places we went to were alike in landscape and feel.

We will definitely be calling Adrienne when we return to South America.  We have no reservation in recommending her and Latin America for Less to our family and friends!
