John and Rhonda S. contacted Peru For Less after learning about our company through some friends. With the help of expert travel advisor Kristina M., the couple planned a dream trip to Peru with a customized itinerary that gave them plenty of time to soak up the local culture and natural highlights. John and Rhonda covered a lot of ground during their exploration of southern Peru, spending time in Cusco, the Sacred Valley, Colca Canyon, Arequipa, Lake Titicaca, and the jungle region. After returning home, they sent a heartfelt thanks and shared the highlights of their trip with us.
Exploring Peru’s Southern Highlights
We are getting settled at home after our fantastic tour of Peru, but in many ways we still are there – if not in body, but in soul.
We have traveled extensively and to be honest we usually like to do our own thing because rigid scheduling and large groups are not our cup of tea. Having received a wonderful recommendation from friends about Latin America For Less, we thought we would give the company a try. The best part was you made plenty of good recommendations of what and where to go and see, but you also helped us to fit in the leisure time at each destination. This was the best of both worlds! We got picked up and delivered throughout our three week trip and when we toured it was with small group or just us and the tour guide and driver.
Machu Picchu was without a doubt our favorite destination. The guide from your company made this portion of our trip spiritual and something neither of us will ever forget.
Looking back at our trip, there were many trip highlights. We loved the city of Arequipa and felt very comfortable walking the streets. The tour of Colca Canyon to see the condors, our quiet stay on Suasi Island on Lake Titicaca, and our voyage into the Amazon Jungle were also amazing. My wife was actually quite hesitant about the jungle part of our journey, but was pleasantly surprised with Reserva Amazonica. The jungle lodge had beautiful grounds, cabin accommodations, nice meals, and, of course, the daily tours were an adventure.
Rhonda and I would like to thank you personally for all your help preparing our trip as well as the contact you supplied throughout our trip. We were also very pleased with your choice of hotels. Our only regret is that we missed the opportunity to meet you in Lima. Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to your team for also making the trip a success.
