Hi!
I'm Cornelia CollettTravel Advisor

I was born and raised in Oslo, Norway. Trips to Sierra Leone, Russia, and Thailand instilled my desire to explore and understand people and the influences of their cultures. I graduated from the University of Edinburgh with an MA in Sociology, and after enduring four years of rain and wind in Scotland, I opted for steadier weather conditions along Peru’s coast. I now live and work in Lima, a city with a wonderful food scene that I love to explore and always find time to check out the city’s wonderful food scene. Walking is one of my favorite activities, and I find this to be the best way to get to know any new city or destination.

Travel to me is to discover and experience a destination beyond the expected. “Our happiest moments as tourists always seem to come when we stumble upon one thing while in pursuit of something else.”-- Lawrence Block

My Peru Travel Tips and Recommendations:

Add a free day - I find the best days on a trip to be those where you have the time to breathe and reflect on your experiences. Do not underestimate the value of a free day, this might end up being the favorite day of your trip.

Don’t skip Lima - Lima is worth a visit! Enjoy the incredible cuisine, walk along the Pacific Ocean and learn more about the history of Peru. There is more to Peru than just the Inca culture and Machu Picchu.

Pack light - There is no need to bring half your closet with you on your trip. Most restaurants, museums, etc. in South America have a relaxed atmosphere, and a formal dress code is rarely required. Prioritize comfortable clothes you can layer for different temperatures during the day and evening.
