Take your time when travelling! Many of the most popular tourist spots in Peru are at altitude, and it’s best to include free days in your itinerary in order to acclimatise well and to not rush yourself. Besides, you might only be here once!
Listen to local people and guides for the best spots to eat. If you’re looking for a good restaurant, try and head to a place where lots of locals are eating! They know the best Peruvian food and you’ll be sure to get the best authentic experience.
As with traveling anywhere, go into the trip with an open mind, looking to learn as much as possible. Have a nice mixture of tours and activities on your trip, this will get you thinking and enjoying yourself!
Mix and match your hotels! Sometimes, an upgrade to a 4-star hotel is really worth it. I’d especially recommend this in the Sacred Valley, in Colca and if visiting Lake Titicaca so you can get the best views!
