Day 1 : Arrival to La Paz

 

• You’ll be met at the airport by one of our representatives and taken to your confirmed La Paz hotel, where you’ll be able to relax and acclimatize to the altitude. Don’t skip the acclimatization process, as La Paz sits at a breath-snatching altitude of 11,975 feet above sea level (3,650 meters). Be sure to take it easy and drink a lot of water.
• You’ll have the evening to explore the city at your leisure and dine at one of the many delicious local restaurants of your choice. We recommend eating small and simple portions to help your body adjust to the higher altitude.

Day 2 : La Paz & Moon Valley Tour

 

• Today you’ll enjoy a half-day private tour of La Paz to see the city’s main highlights. Your expert guide will pick you up at your hotel at your preferred time to begin your adventures. Note: If desired, you can select to make this a full-day tour.
• You’ll first visit Plaza Murillo to see the Governmental Palace, the Cathedral, and the Congress building. You’ll continue on to the Gold Museum to admire sparkly pre-Columbian works and also visit the San Francisco Church. This is one of the best remaining examples of religious Colonial architecture in all of South America. Your next stop will be the famous Witch Market, an excellent place to buy locally-made handicrafts and admire traditional artwork.
• The final part of your tour takes place in the Moon Valley (Valle de la Luna), an unusual assortment of rocky pinnacles and canyons, comparable to the badlands found in several US northern states (such as the Dakotas and Montana). This bizarre landscape is the perfect place to capture some unique photographs.
